3D Pentominoes Challenge

Our Edx Education® 3D Pentominoes Challenge invites children to use their problem-solving and spatial reasoning skills to fit twelve unique pentomino pieces together and complete each puzzle. As children rotate, flip and slot the translucent shapes into the tray, they discover how flat pieces combine to fill a space, helping spatial awareness and logical thinking take shape and supporting early geometry and STEAM learning.

What makes the 3D Pentominoes Challenge special is its translucent, single-colour design paired with a graded activity booklet. Because every piece is see-through, the puzzle glows beautifully on a light box, turning each solution into a colourful sensory experience. The booklet builds from simple starter puzzles right up to genuinely tricky challenges, while the reusable tray and lid keep every piece tidy and ready for the next attempt.

The challenge grows with your child. Beginners can start with the earliest puzzles and plenty of trial and error, then move on to harder patterns, planning ahead and reasoning through each move as their skills develop. Every solved puzzle helps build concentration, perseverance and problem-solving confidence, strengthening the logical-thinking foundations that support maths long before formal lessons begin.
